If you are building, or adding on you will need a building permit. The City also requires permits for decks, fences, portable garden sheds, this is to make sure each property owner is aware of where the property line is located.  Call City Hall at 542-2136 for more information. If you dig please remember to contact ONE CALL before digging.

Cemetery
The Clarinda Municipal Cemetery entrance is located at the corner of Glenn Miller Drive (16th Street) and Walnut Street in the north part of Clarinda.

Water and Wastewater for the City of Clarinda is managed by PeopleService. The Clarinda Water Treatment Plant is located at
701 N. 1st Street. The Wastewater Treatment Plant is located east of the Municipal Airport.
